Little bit country: 5 memorable moments from the Country Music Awards

Mixed in with the awards were a number of goofy, if memorable moments. Here are five favorites.
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley's country chemistry
There was the inevitable Obama joke and a truly weird "Jolene" parody about the Maine nurse fighting her Ebola quarantine, but co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood balanced each other well in their seventh year hosting. Her charm (and constant wardrobe changes) plays off nicely against his "check me out, I'm a doofus" humor, and even Paisley's dorky pregnancy jokes at the expectant Underwood's expense were tolerable. Now we just have to wait months to find out: Was his "reveal" that her baby is a boy really true?

Yes, that was current NFL free agent Tim Tebow presenting the song of the year award to Kacey Musgraves for "Follow Your Arrow." But it wasn't Musgraves' win that caught fire on social media — it was Tebow's stylin' eyewear. Seems that guys who throw passes can also wear glasses.

Speaking of crossing genres ... it was good to have a little bit of rock 'n' roll show up, in the form of Aerosmith legend Steven Tyler, who presented the single of the year award to Miranda Lambert. Leather pants, leopard shirt, black sequined blazer, rocker hair and all, he makes us want to walk this way.

Country has its legends too, and few are bigger than Loretta Lynn. The Coal Miner's Daughter has still got it and more, sailing onto the stage in a sparkling full-length gown to duet with Kacey Musgraves on Lynn's 1971 classic, "You're Lookin' at Country." Other icons honored included George Strait and Vince Gill.
